These conditions together with a white sandy beach makes Workum a perfect place for all kind of riders. The beach is situated next to the campsite It Soal. The spot attracts a lot of German kitesurfers. There are even German kitesurfschools active in Workum. The spot can be pretty crowded in the weekends. There is a large sandbank about 300m offshore. This creates a perfect flat spot.
